The Material Station mainboard is the primary intelligence hub for UltiMaker’s advanced material handling systems. This sophisticated PCB (Printed Circuit Board) coordinates the complex synchronisation required for automated 6-spool management. It manages everything from the high-torque filament retraction of the rewind modules to the precise climate control of the internal dehumidifier. By centralising these functions, the mainboard ensures that filament is always kept in optimal condition and delivered to the printer's feeders with industrial-grade reliability.

A unique feature of this mainboard is its "cable-less" interface with the prefeeder modules. The board is designed to be pressed directly onto the prefeeder assembly, utilising high-reliability contact pins rather than traditional wiring looms. This reduces potential points of failure and simplifies the serviceability of the unit. If your material handling module experiences a total loss of communication, fails to initialise the dehumidifier, or exhibits multiple sensor errors simultaneously, a mainboard replacement may be necessary to restore full functionality.
